Intake noise

Anyone knows how to get a bit more of intake noise?
The intake system looks pretty straight forward and i dont see any resonator in it. I'm surprise that MB was able to quiet down so much.
Any suggestions?

There's an open short ram system I believe that's available that will give you more sound.

I've seen that but it looks like it would suck in hot engine compartment air.

i did this to mine recently...
http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w204...take-dyno.html
guy actually gained 6hp 10tq on a dyno.

mine is working fine so far, more sound and slight increase in acceleration. seems like everyone that i have talked to that has actually done this to their car only has good things to say about the mod. while everyone talking about the hot air getting sucked in never tried it themselves. this is the most you can do basically, or just get some aftermarket panel filters, or just stay stock.

How would one go about doing so on a 2014? Noticed my engine bay to look slightly different.

I saw some setups the had the filter positioned at the back of the engine bay. It may have been for the 1.8 turbo. I'm not sure that setup is optimal, especially on a turbo charged vehicle. But there are also ones available that appear to replace the entire front ram/pipe system to the factory filter.

I believe you would use a similar setup to a C350. It may be easier to search under that as that engine in a C300 isn't quite as common.

Not sure about that, the engine layout in the newer engines is quite different than the older ones. For the pre facelift we got 2 intake runners stock, and the airbox is up above under the engine cover. So all I had to do was remove the stock filters under the cover, remove the stock intake runners, and clamp on tubes and filters in their place. The facelift models have only one intake runner i think and the airbox is on the left side of the engine.

Yes it would. Not ideal by any means for performance perspective, but would achieve OPs objective of more sound.
