Hey guyz, I was searching on this forum for some time now and finally did register so I can ask you for some help.

I own C w204 2011 and want to install rear camera so my girl can back out safely anywhere.Found one guy with camera and all stuff that goes with it.
You need to enable rear camera in engineering menu , right? There is no option in my menu and I was like wtf..It's weird because I'v seen same car, year, etc with that option.
How it's possible that my car doesn't have it?Is my menu outdated?

The problem is you don't have COMAND/MultiMedia option. You need to have one of those in order to have the screen that flips out and has the port in the back for camera. Sorry :/

I don't believe that is true... It was an option on all 2014 models I know for sure, even my C250 without COMAND can have the rear-view camera.

He has a prefacelift which has NTG4, can't compare to 2014 which probably had the camera port already as standard.

The problem is not just the screen. When the car doesn't have COMAND/MultiMedia, it means to retrofit camera you need to change out the whole radio and screen.

Well who knows what he's done to that car, the screen is very customized.
Read this thread first and maybe try some of the stuff out, some very good insight. https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...up-camera.html

The 5.5 inch screen that comes standard is actually full color, and there are many video interface modules that will allow, besides hooking a backup camera, play DVDs or any other video input. Several options are available in the U.S., two audio shops have quoted about $1500 to provide and install the camera module, one claims to have made several installs on W204's.

A link to one such module is here, not available from this provider currently, but if you check the specs it shows all that can be done with this interface.
