Looking to buy a C Class

Hey guys I've been recently looking at 2012-2013 C250's mainly because of the turbo charged engine to eventually upgrade the turbo when I decide to start messing with the car. In no way am I educated in cars but am wanting to start learning. I drive a 01 Lexus IS300 and am now looking for my first affordable Luxury car with a little power to it. My questions are;

Differences between the 2012-2014 C250's?

And other than the engine, would getting a C300 be better than a 250 for what I'm looking for? Thanks guys for comments!

2012 C300 4Matic Sport Sedan
this is the most reoccurring question lol but 2012 has the older cluster colour 2013+ has the newer looking one and eco modes ect.
I'd say test drive both cars c250 c300 c350 so you know what your dealing with

I find the 250 slower after gear 2 but it has that quick pick up c300 has that lag in first gear but has a constant power to it c350 has less lag and is a lot faster lol.

as for upgrade there aren't many for the c300 c350 people tinker a lot more with the c250 because of the turbo. what are you thinking 4MATIC or not? people say 4 magics have more issues but I've seen one in the 2012+ range thats more in the older 2008-2011.

Best thing is test drive all of them make sure you get the right packages as its super expensive to get them after(navi, light package(is a must id say it looks way better than the halogen),HK audio is way better than audio 20)

ALSO MUSTS: maintenance records, proper transmission service if its above 60,000km i wouldn't get an accident car but you can save 5000$ if you get one with a minor accident but your get what you pay for wait for the right car test drive as many as you can its always fun trying all the different cars and models

2013 C250 Sport
Some people do upgrade the turbos and stuff but the C250 has rather limited upgrade options and not much available tuning wise. Although I have seen mention of some people getting a software tuned. Which is needed to fully take advantage of mechanical upgrades.

Something like a VW GTI or Audi turbo would have more potential for affordably messing with.

2011 Mercedes-Benz C300 Sedan
I havent seen anyone modify their turbos on their c250, there was one guy with a few threads that was planning to do it but he hasn't chimed in for a while now. But C250s got a few upgrade options like intake, exhaust, intercooler & tune options but that's basically it. c300/c350 has tune, exhaust/headers, & DIY intake upgrades.

Thanks a lot guys, like I mentioned I'm not a knowledgable car guy so as far as the standard, exhaust, inter cooler upgrade etc etc might be just what I want. I wouldn't know what I'd want as far as tuning since I don't know much about it haha. I really appreciate the helpful tips and info. I do know for sure I'd want a Benz as far as which model I will find out after some test driving

I have seen people mention a world of problems with 4matic. I live in Seattle where it rains almost 80% of the year and do like going up to the mountains during ski and snowboard season so I'd say 4 matic would be preferable. I would ask which is faster since I would like a little power (used to have a 07 turbocharged Mazdaspeed 6) but I guess a test drive would answer my questions on that
