Console COMMAND dial/knob C250 W204 2011
Hello Benz Folks,
So I finally got to remove everything and got the console knob apart however, I couldn't get to unplug the knob cable. It seems like it's routed through a small opening under the console to the front under the "shift area". If I unplug it, there is no way I can get the whole thing off due to the routing of Knob wire through shift area... Am I missing something? any suggestions ?

Did mine last weekend. You have to cut the cable if its the first time taking the knob out. Once you cut the cable, you can pull both ends out to solder it back. If you don't cut the cable you have to disassemble the whole center console which take quite a while.
