AC won't start after doing a jump-start

Hello Everyone,
I was out of country for 5months. I called the Merc serv dept on advice and they suggested I disconnect the battery and go. When I got back and reconnected the battery, the battery was down anyway and had to call the road-side assistance to help with a jump-start. First time, the guy gave a jump-start and everything worked fine...unfortunately, I didn't drive it enough to charge the battery and next day it went dead again. So, called them again and this time, everything except AC came online...no lighting on the AC buttons or anything.

I thought it might be the fuse and looked for a chart online and check the fuse number 12. However, that seems to be fine. Please advice on what else I could do before I take it to the dealer and get ripped off!

About all you can do is to disconnect the battery for say five minutes then reconnect---what happens???

I did try this out and unfortunately, didn't help. Thanks for the suggestion.

If the basics does not help then it's off to someone who has factory or equal diagnostics who can quickly find the fault----otherwise it's the expensive may pole run!!

Well I did check the other fuses as well. Anyways, took it to the dealer for servicing and this happens to be still under the 3 yr warranty. They looked into it and claim that the AC controller unit is busted. They agreed to repair it under warranty...it's not done yet.Waiting for the part.

Have to wait for the final result.

Yerneni,

Did the engine fan kept running too even when the engine is not that hot, say from cold star or even just starting from just being parked for awhile? Any update on your situation? This is happening to me at the momen.
