Had this 2008 C300 v6 Mercedes for a little over a year now and I have this ticking noise in the engine, not too sure what is causing it or if it's something I need to go get the guys at the service shop take a look at but it comes every now and then for days at a time then sometimes for days I do not hear it best way to show you is through this YouTube videos:

Sounds like belt or pulley squeak. There are two idler pulleys and a belt tensioner and the bearings in them fail eventually. If you're familiar with DIY stuff it's fairly straightforward to take the belt off and check the pulleys and tensioner by spinning them by hand. If they spin quickly and with no resistance the bearings are gone.
In my experience even if only one or two of the three are gone you might as well replace them all and the belt at the same time as they almost always fail around the same time.
