On my 2014 W204 C 300 which is equipped with the basic Command (I think it is audio 20) you can access dealer menu by pressing 9 + 7 + Hang up (Red Phone) at the same time and hold for a couple of seconds.

You will get 3 Options and the last one is Startup Screen.




You have like 3 StartUp Screens to select from





however when selecting StartUp Screen 1 for example you will get the same startUp Screen (Star LOGO) but this time with number 2 in the TRH corner.





I Guess it means that the system couldn't find any custom Screen to load.
Maybe you can load your own startUp Screen from the USB but what format and name ? this is the question.

You might need a specific Resolution, Bit Rate, format, maybe a folder with specific name, and the startUp screen with specific name .

Any One have ever configured this ?
