[Facelift] How to remove climate control unit
Hey guys, i´m from Germany.
I want to replace the climate control unit on my coupe.
Its a facelift.
How do i remove the unit? Is there any tutorials, videos or something like that?

Take a Teflon wedge or similar and pry on top and bottom of trim piece that surrounds the push button unit. Try to keep prying evenly. There are four compression clips at the back that hold it in place, if you pull too hard one direction it will break the clips. Once the trim piece is off the unit should simply pull out with wires exposed. Make sure the key is not in the ignition!

BTW, what did you use to unclip the center AC vent? I've see a video where it looks like a special tool.
I wish I could get that Euro controller in Fahrenheit. We don't have the Zone button in the US.

They are called kombi hooks. For that job though a simple 90 degree pick will work. You shine a light down the vent and inside on each side is a plastic tab that retains the vent assembly. With the kombi hooks you just insert and twist to get the tab to lift up. Then pull the vents out.
