2010 C300 4matic sport
PLEASE HELP!!!

I bought a car: 2010 C300 sport 4matic
Stance is awesome, but I'm afraid suspension may be shot.

Its running H&R super sports on a 4matic.
I've read EVERYWHERE on this site that its a common practice, but I have spoke with H&R and they said this is a huge "no-no". Claims it will ruin the car because the 4matic drivetrain is much different/heavier.

I'm almost certain the shocks are toast because it makes a lot of clunking noise in front. I was considering putting some bilstein b6 in the front, but is there a chance these will just go to crap also since the car is running springs that were not made for the 4matic system?

I'm also concerned that running the wrong springs could ruin the 4matic drivetrain.

This is what Pelican parts is showing for your car (4matic). Take the part numbers here and cross reference them to the non-4matic and see if they are the same/different. If they are different then you'll know your answer.

Yes people run the H&R on 4 Matics. Is it a good idea probably not, but some people say its been fine.... If your set on keeping it low invest in KW V3 coil overs they are pricy but they are made for the 4 Matics. You'll probably get good life out of them, I've read tons of great reviews.

Personally i was going to upgrade but my car already sits nicely (in my opinion) with the stock set up. I met up with some one with a 2014 C350 4 Matic and my car was much lower than his for some reason. I do all my service at the dealer they looked over everything and said its perfect. It's just weird how much it dropped compared to another C.

But when these give out( i think the service is at 120,000KM i need to double check that) , I'm going to get the KW's.

MB Marko, I also have a 2012 sport and not too long ago while at the dealer for another problem they said my car sits lower than most and that the front springs were bad. Expecting to be pressured into replacing them I was surprised when they said it would be under warrantee and that my car is not the only 2012 they have seen with this issue. Replaced front springs, 4 wheel alignment and adjust headlights all free.

Thats interesting, the dealer told me everything was perfect. I went in for the full service at about 60,000KM I'm now at about 78,000KM. I looked at my oil today it still looks like new which is weird. I thought it would be dark as my dash says next service 8000KM away. Even though thats way over my due oil change. This car is just a tank for me so far. I'll have a look at it on my next service again to see if they can do anything. thanks for the info!
