Stock verses aftermarket sway bar end links w/picture
So I picked up a 2008 C350 a few months ago and during my inspection I noticed both front sway bar end links had torn boots. I knew this was an easy fix so I decided to replace them myself, and in the process I feel like the parts I used to replace the stockers were an upgrade.
The new ones felt very similar in weight, but the ends of the links felt a little more solid.
I used the Beck Arnley ones and as an FYI, each side is a different part number.
Aftermarket on left, stock on right.
I thought the OEM links were cheap anyway. All rubber will wear out in time, it's a matter of when. The design with the caps though, I don't think they'll last longer than OEM.
Cornering before replacing them felt sloppy, and I had some very loud front end clunking while reversing over bumps.
My links had one blown boot each, nothing crazy. Overall the car rode pretty solid even with them being blown. I need to check the rear too just to make sure everything is good to go.
