need help on tires
I got a flat front tire the other day, and need to get a pair of new front tires as both are show bubble now (pot holes in the region just...sigh). I have a 2014 C300 4matic sport sedan having 23000 miles on it. Should I go to the dealer to get the tires changed or just go to tire stores like costco to get them replaced? If I go to other tire store and do not use the original tires from MB, would it void the manufacturer warranty? I still got 5 years on it.
I saw some post saying for 4matic, one would have to change all 4 tires at once. Is that reaaly true? sounds scary though.
Another unrelated topic, when I did the service B, the dealer guy told me I need to pay extra for break fluid change as it is not included in B, so I did not do it. Is it normal?
Many thanks.
As for the brake bleed that is normal to do it every 20,000 miles (B service).
From what I've seen at the dealers the tire prices are insane. You could still get the OEM ones for much less at any tire center. But if you need an alignment I would stick to the dealer. The dealer usually does a better job balancing too as they use road force balancing.

) compared to a few local shops i called which wanted $1200-$1300 for them. However, the dealership charges $30/tire for mounting and balancing which is extremely surprising considering that, that price is on the lower end of every shop i called. but, of course, 2 orders to maximize the coupon. These tires are the ones that people compare to the michelin pilot super sport. I would have gotten the super sports but the rears were out of stock when the deal was going on.
