Question C 250 pistone hole

My C250 2010, had a hole in the middle of one of the pistons, I was told by the MB agent, that is was caused by a leaking injector??, is it true or it is a low octane problem.
Any help??

Depends, did you use low octane fuel?

If you're using 92, why would you or your mechanic suspect a low octane problem?

Used car purchase? You never know what a PO did.

Possible, but he doesn't say, and we can only go by what he tells us.

By that logic we may as well assume the hole in the piston was from the factory because of something the engine builder may have done.
