ESP Inoperative message but no fault codes
My 2008 C300 L posted the dashboard message saying that ESP was inoperative. The yellow triangle appears to the left of the display. My OBDII code reader finds no codes at all, nor did it return any codes at the dealership ($170 to tell me they found nothing).
The message started out being intermittent but is now on all the time. Yesterday, like most, the cruise control stopped being available.
I've read through all of the ESP threads here but most seem to indicate that a fault code appeared. The car starts, runs, and drives normally. The car has 107K miles and has had every service required exactly on time. It has a brand new AGM Battery, its tires are in good condition with proper pressures, the voltage is steady at 13.56. The brake pads measure about 2/3 of their original depth.
Any thoughts?

You don't have loads of choices, the yaw and lateral acceleration sensor located under the drivers seat reports to the ESP control module---check under the drivers seat for any kids toys or any other crap---other than that you have the ESP control module and connector itself!!

Same here warning came on late in to 200km drive and once the car was turned off the message has not appeared since.. I was expecting some more impending financial doom.
