Front lip / splitter fitment question
I have a 2012 C class which has the "Standard bumper" style seen here:
For those of you who are unaware, the difference between the sport bumper, and my standard bumper is illustrated here (standard is on bottom):
I purchased the following front lip:
http://www.ebmotor.com/mobile/front-...14-p-2091.html
When my installer went to attach, we noticed gaps on each side, and the ends were not flush:
The manufacturer says that this is fine, and that screws and glue will allow for perfect fitment....
Is this right and the 3 different installers I spoke to are all wrong?
Please help...

From the pics it doesn't look like it will fit. If you really wanted to make it fit you can try using a heat gun to help mold the end parts closer to the bumper and then using the screws and glue.

I agree with Mr. Bright. That gap is too big to just force on there. If you have a heat gun you may try heating the INSIDE of the splitter to see if you can make it work. Is that fiberglass, plastic or carbon fiber? If it's real CF it's not going to re shape, if it's fiberglass it probably somewhat bendable with lots of heat, if it's plastic it should be easy to mold into the correct shape. At the end of the day you will need quite a bit of 3M tape and you will need to put some screws from underneath. I use self tapping automotive screws.

From the looks of the website, it seems like its fiberglass. SO put up a lot of heat on the inner bends and SLOWLY start bending. If you can't reduce the gap by atleast 50%, then you don't want to mount it.

That is quite the gap... I think the retailers are giving you the simplest solution first, which is fine, but not necessarily the right one in this case..

Thanks for the input guys - the gap really is drastic, it's not even close and the pics don't show just how bad it is....

This is not the case though.
I have no issue with any languages/cultures/ethnicity/etc. but it IS my believe that if you offer support to a target demographic you should have at least one employee FLUENT and available in one of the national languages.
But back to the point! I wonder if they know your bumper type rswaltz?

I will ask for a refund and return the item. The quality of the product is bad or it is a bad batch. Or you can dispute your payment if they don't take responsibility.
It is recommended to get it from one of our vendor here. The cost is not that much difference.
