Dear all,

I want to remove my cluster in order to clean and polish it. As the space is too tight, I am considering to remove the wire connector at the back and work out of the car. Do I need to disconnect the battery to avoid issues? Will the cluster work as it used to before removal (i.e. mileage, servicing, etc).

I'd caution against it. The trim around the IC can rattle like mad once taken off and put back on.
