Canadian C300 Brake Pad Question

Hello guys,

It looks like im way overdue for a brake pad change. I drive a Canadian C300 4MATIC Sport Sedan and was reading how the 2011 models use the c350 brake pads in front and the same smaller brake pads for the rear. I know there was a small update and lift from 2010 - 2011 so I wasnt sure if this is correct.

My question is - Is the Canadian 2010 C300 using the same c350 brake pads?

If I bought Akebono EUR1342 EURO Ultra-Premium Ceramic Brake Pad for front and Akebono EUR1341 EURO Ultra-Premium Ceramic Brake Pad for rear would this be correct for my model?

Thanks in advance guys! Huge help!

The 2010 Canadian C300 for sure uses the C350 size front rotors and pads. Also those are the correct Akebono part numbers.

Ordered!

Thanks mate, huge help!

Any idea of rotors need to be changed as well at 47,000KMs (Not miles)?
Stealership told me it should be changed as a package but my mechanic buddy told me just the pads would be fine if I dont feel pulsation - Which I dont.

I'm not sure what the minimum replacement thickness is off hand but it should be written on the hat of the rotor somewhere. That said you can get a rough idea of how worn down the rotor is by feeling for a raised lip along the outer edge of the rotor face. If the lip is around a mm or so high it's probably getting close to needing replacement.

CGSColin is 100% right. I'm guessing you don't drive your car very hard.. I tend to warp my C350 rotors a month or two in... Time for a big brake kit I guess...

Rotors aren't going to be a time/milage related thing as much as they will be an amount of use thing. If you are constantly stomping on the brakes, you may have had to change the rotors long ago, if you don't often brake hard, you may not need rotors for a long time.

Like Colin said remove wheel and look for a lip around a mm or more..
