2009 C300 - Inoperative See Manual
I was test driving a C300 I'm thinking of buying. I was being really aggressive on the interstate and this light came on with a picture of a car and road marks behind it (traction?) Turning the car off and restarting and the message was gone.
The car does have 1 tire that needs to be replaced as it's bald. Not because of alignment but because the current owner hit a nail and only replaced that tire.

There was something that came before "Inoperative" which you must of missed, probably was "ESP Inoperative" which is traction control. I wouldn't buy the car, or I'd at least bring it up in the deal and have them reduce the price for it. Im sure the owner/dealer knows about it.

Google Mercedes owners manuals, on mbusa.com you can find a pdf for the 2009 c300s owners manual and look up the error message in there.
