Fuel filter with sensor or without

i'm placing an order for some parts for a service. I asked for a oil filter and the woman at Mercedes service parts asked if it was with or without sensor. I wasn't sure so i had a look on my car. It seems that it is without a sensor. What im wondering is do all w204 have a sensor on them? Because last year i had it serviced i dont remember anything about sensors so i have a feeling i may have just purchased one without by chance.

So is it your choice of putting a oil filter with a sensor or not. If so i imagine a sensor would be a better choice? Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I am aware of an oil level sender (sensor) that sits at the bottom of the oil pan as well as a dielectric sensor that looks for changes in capacitance through the oil, to determine the level of breakdown/contaminants in the oil, the results are then used to give an indication of when it is time to change the oil.

Neither of those sensors is part of or anywhere near the oil filter. But I have been wrong before.

I would have answered her question with a question of my own: "Which sensor are you referring to?"

i did look online on eBay for it (Mercedes have a official Ebay account for parts) and they provided two links of the oil filter for my car. One with and one without. So it does exist. I'll include links so you can see
