Simple Tire and Rim Question

Hello everyone! I am looking for a set of rims and winter tires on my 2010 c350.

Got this set of OEM 17 rims and tires.

Rims are 7.5 x 17 ET 47 and 8.5 x 17 ET 58, which are perfect Mercedes sizes (part number are there starts with A204.... as well so I know these are original)
However, I have a little concern about the tires on them.

The two front are 225 45 17, which are perfect. But the rear ones should use 245 40 17 according to OEM setting, these rear are using the same as the two front...

Is it okay? Could it cause any problem?

Thanks,

The rear are more than likely slightly stretched. Weather or not it will damage anything is dependent on wether or not you have the 4matic system and if so, whether the front annd rear mounted tire diameters (ACTUAL SIZE ON RIM) differ by 3% or more.

Will it hurt, probably not, would I keep them? No.

I'd get wider tires for the rear.

I agree. The tires were on the rims so I guess the previous driving was fine. However, I gotta change them anyway cause I saw a nail in the tires. I won't install them on until the new tires on

c300
side question

Just bought an '09 c300. Stock rims measure, I think, 18.5" and look like this. Are they an upgraded stock option?

For winter tires I prefer a square setup so you can rotate front to back as most are directional and you cannot swap side to side.

You can always have the tires flipped on the wheels after 2 seasons so you can then switch them side to side.

The original owner was probably saving a few $s by getting the same size in back as the slightly smaller front tires. The W204 is designed for a staggered setup with wider, lower profile rear tires. Probably a slight handling compromise in performance by using the same size tires on all corners.
