store manuals in glove compartment

hello everybody and thanks in advance for your support:
I have one w204 MY2013, facelift. in glove compartment, there's a place that seems to be made to store the vehicle's manuals, but if i try to store the whole manuals with the leather case that came from, the package fits but the glove doesn't close.... do I'm making something wrong...? or this place is not made for manuals storage...?
I'm attaching one picture of the place I've get from internet (not my actual glovebox). the place I mean is the one where the phone is located. thanks for your support, regards,

If you cant it fit there you could store it in the trunk where the little first aid kit is. You could probably fit them both.

matt, thanks for your reply, right, in the trunk is ok, but the question is: is the glove box factory designed to store the manuals, and I'm doing something wrong? maybe any specific format to put the bag in there... any picture about it...? thanks again,

Try to fit it in the lower part of the dash. Im pretty sure that upper area is designed for papers such as registration.

It only fits in the upper part and that's where I have it, is tricky though you have to position it right for it to close.

The 'factory made' place to put it is that netting on the left side of the passenger foot-well.

That is interesting info, I would've thought it was in the trunk!
