2009 C300 Stereo/Command Problems
Hi all. Bought my '09 C300 6 Speed in December. Have been loving it so far up until today. I have been having an issue with batter drain recently (I think I have found the issue on that). Long story short, after a jump tonight (I didn't read first, stupid... I know). My radio still works and the command system functions. What doesn't work are the right side of my steering wheel controls. Also, my iPod cable no longer reads. Aux and Nav both come up as ---- on the dash.
From the command screen I can use the radio and nab. Also, I noticed today that the radio lights are off. Like the airbag warning lights are on, and the temp lights are on but all of the radio buttons have no light. Now I am not sure if that started before or after the jump.
I found that my amp (running a 250w in the trunk) was not turning off even when the car was completely off. This has been working fine for 9 months and suddenly the amp wants to stay on when the car is off, and the key removed. I would appreciate any help.

Amazing what a bad cell will do. Battery was less than 3 years old :\
Had it tested today and was only hitting 500ish amps. Replacement is set to go in tomorrow morning. Funny enough after the charge to test it everything is working again. You live; you learn.

These newer cars are tremendously finicky. Any little thing not right with the battery will cause all sorts of error messages on the dash, and certain components just not working properly.
