Holes on my roof

Holes on my roof
Hello MBWorld.
This is my first post. I've looked at options everywhere. I have come to you for your council.
Basically, I have a 2010 C350 with a panoramic sunroof + bike rack option. The previous owner of this car was a moron and broke the molding covers when installing their rack. I had no use for this rack so I sold it and now I am left with holes on top of my car.
I believe I need the equivalent of part#6 in the diagram (2046983530) but apparently, they do not fit the panoramic version (WTF?).
The only sensible solution I have been proposed is to replace the roof moldings (~200$ each for part + hours of labor). One mechanic suggested I buy some covers from another model and shape them to fit on mine and glue them -_-. I thought about getting some plexiglass or something like that to cover the holes.
Is there something I am not thinking about? I would appreciate any suggestions you might have.
