Hundreds of miles later, the C300 is in the driveway. I maintained 27+ MPG most all of the trip (highway driving with some stop & go and limited city-driving). I checked the MPG computer accuracy once or twice and was quite surprised that it was near spot-on. Therefore, when I saw the computer saying 29+ MPG cruising at 75mph in 55-65 degree weather after a lot of fairly flat highway, I had no problem believing it. Great trip, nearly no fatigue even after getting into double-digit drive time.
Nice, I typically average 28mpg on my daily commute on my way back. If I'd keep going longer I'd think it would be up there as well, maybe even hit 30...this is on sport mode.
I have a 2013 C300 lux 4-door.
I took a trip to New Hampshire 2 weeks ago. About 200 miles each way. Mostly highway. I average 29+. Actually at the next refuel, using the mileage between fuel ups, I got better than 30 mpg.
This has been this good since I got the car.
My sister lives in Maine. When I go up there, it is about a 90 minute drive and I can get 29+ every time.
Typically the biggest factor for me is slope and wind resistance. As I said, on the way back I get ~28mpg, on a good day w/o wind. Going there with wind, ~24 I get. btw side note, EPA estimated 25 mpg highway c300.
Nice to hear what people get on their drives and commutes! Coming from a gas-hog Land Rover anything above 20 is GREAT for me, let alone 30+!! (Richard!)

What kind of speeds are you usually cruising at? I was trying to find the best balance between speed/efficiency on my drive, but I wanted to get home. And does sport mode on yours affect your MPG considerably?
Highway cruising at 70mph, I can get 29-30mpg, even with the 4matic.
Sport mode should not affect highway mileage at all.
Actually it does because on slow downs between speed limit/traffic changes the car will down shift and up shift more abruptly and also hold higher RPM.
