Question about air bag recalls
Earlier this year, I received two air bag recall notices for my 2008 C300. There was a third letter about an air bag controller that they actually did replace.
In the letters, the local MB dealership stated that they'll contact me when the parts come in for the air bags.
Its been so long I'm wondering if I'll ever hear from them and if the letters were to limit their liability should I or a passenger get hurt due to their not operating like they should.
Have any of you gotten their air bags replaced for a 2008 C300 or similar vehicle under the recall notice?

About 2 months ago an air bag controller was replaced in my 2008 car (about 4 months after the first letter) Last mo. I got a recall letter for the airbag "when in stock".
Pretty slow process, but it won't limit MB liability if something happens in the waiting period.

Got two letters, both pretty much says the same thing about waiting for the supplies and that they will send another letter once they're ready for my car. Friends/Family of other makes (including BMW) already have theirs replaced.
