so im in the market of buying a c300 but cant find white with black interior and navi, my question is can i buy a navi unit from a wrecked c300 which i can get because i work at a salvage yard can i get the unit and plug and play into a car without navi ? what is needed to swap it over ?

 

Yes, you can retrofit with Navi (COMAND) for the pre-facelift (2008-2011). It's cost me close to $2K to make it work (including b/u camera). I did for me C350 about 4 years ago (gave it to my son, he still driving it). With the facelift model (2012 & up), it will be more difficult because the COMAND unit tìes to VIN # of the car. There are also two navigation systems available. One for the Comand system that has 7 inch screen, backup camera and Harman Kardon audio and the other for the smaller screen.
