For the past few weeks I keep finding my fuel door partially open. I'm not sure what going one here, lol. For one the lock needs to be off for it to do that.

I did some searches but it doesn't seem to be too common. Has anyone else experienced this?

The only thing I can think of is it has been extremely windy recently. But I don't think that would put enough pressure on the door to open it.

That's what I've been thinking too. It's just kind of weird finding the door popped open from time to time. Although I haven't seen it be that common of an issue.

Had the same thing on my 2009 W204. Firstly it would occasionally come open. Then later on it just wouldn't close unless it was held closed and then locked with the fob key.

Had to have a new fuel door and internal mechanism. Was quite a cost, but after 5 years guess it was something that could happen. Pity the actual mecanical latch device could be replaced rather than the whole thing. Had to chase after the dealer to get the stickers / decals for the inside of the fuel door to preserve the OE look.

Thanks, I'm under warranty still. Although I don't know how they'd be able to reproduce this one. It's so random. But typically the doors are not unlocked for very long.
