Won't hurt anything, but doesn't help anything either.

Most automobile manufactures advise you to start the vehicle and drive away. This doesn't mean drive it to the redline.

The most wear occurs in an engine before it reaches operating temperature.

The faster it reaches operating temperature the less wear ( within reason) .

Driving normally without high revs & heavy load will achieve operating temperature more quickly than idling.

Whether this makes any difference to the owner depends on how long he/she intends to keep the car.

If I have the choice of which car to use in the garage I normally would use the warm one for this reason.

Would it be the same to all other manufactures?
A friend of mine has a Marsaretti and his dealer told him to warm it up at least 5 mins everytimes.

Well, when i start from cold start, i start it, let it be just a few seconds (the time to put everything inside car, etc..., like 10 / 15 seconds) and then drive.

But drive without revving it too much till temperature goes to normal operating.

I think this is the best to do overall.
