The Quick Flip
Fun Fact
While accelerating slowly/maintaining speed, pust the pedal down a bit and release it completely, then push it back down even more.
+ Drops Gear
+ Accelerates Quicker
+ No need to downshift with hand shifter thing

True but it feels to me like then you have to deal with the lag. For some reason it feels less with the flip.
Try it and get back to me, maybe its just me.

I do that all the time to help more quickly drop a gear to accelerate more smoothly, like turning a corner or if you want to change lanes. I'm not talking if you want full throttle. Then it will just go into the lowest gear possible and it will have that lag. I am talking about going from like 1800 RPMs to the next lower gear and maybe 2300RPMs, where the acceleration is quicker and smoother. As I anticipate the move I want to make I time it so I just punch the gas slightly and quickly and then release the accelerator and then quickly get back on it. You get good enough at it and the car is a lot more satisfying to drive and kind of feels like heel and toes downshifting a bit. Certainly not perfect, but does help.
