Strut replacement cost
Does this sound excessively high to you guys? Also, I'm considering the Bilstein B4 Struts, do you have any other replacement suggestions? I don't want to spend too much on the car since its already at 167K miles.
With that said, replacing shocks and struts on this car is not that hard if you have some knowledge of working on a car. I upgraded to the Bilstein HD (B6) and I did the install myself. It took me about 6 hours only because i didn't have a second set of hands. It goes without saying that working on suspension parts is one of the most dangerous things you can do on your car, so pay the professional if you don't know what you're doing.
Definitely go with the B6s if you can afford them. I swapped my OEMs with the B6 at only 20K because I couldn't take how bouncy (and ****ty) the original struts/shocks were. Sachs are pure junk. The car definitely feels more grounded now. FCP Euro is the place to get them.
