Problems with ecu

Hello everbody,

i have a issue with my ecu. i replaced the ecu but my Dashboard console wont work.

The garage owner says i have to clone the ecu, how to do this?
can i do it by myself or do i need expensive software?

thank you in advance.

You got scammed by your mechanic-----post your VIN and post the part number for the ECU that was placed in the car-----if different you need special software to the virginize the ECU than another special software to flash with the correct data for your original ECU--not a DIY!

Completely agree. Sounds like this mechanic is steering OP down the path of ever-escalating service charges without getting OP's car operational again.
