Full Bolt On C250

Has anyone gone full bolt on? (IC, DP, CAI, Tune/PedalBox)

I'm wondering how the butt dyno registers everything paired. Trying to judge by each parts dyno sheet is hard because I like to know where I'm going to end up. It'd be cool to be a 6 second (0-60) car with the right tires.

If anyone has a FBO setup, I'd love to hear about what you feel and how it changed your driving experience. Thanks!

I do and I know one to two other members have before. However I'm on the old 5g so light to light I lose alot of times. On the highway though with my longer gears, my car will jusy keep going. Is it worth it though? Honestly not really, not at the prices companies are charging.

Fully agree with the comment above, bolt ons for this car are stupid expensive for the actual performance gain you get out of them.

In in saying that, I have a 2012 C200 with a tune/pedal box, intake and cat back for now (downpipe and IC getting custom made and installed next month) and it feels great for just the odd spirited drive.

I mean what is exactly outrageous? Most expensive part I see is the Intercooler. Coming from a GTI, I spent way more money on that to be "fast" than I normally would.

I don't track or street race really, just like to know I am using maximum available power and keep up with my friends from stop light to stop light.

You'd say it's definitely noticeable gains?

I don't know how you measure worth but for me dollars to power gained is definitely not worth it. Put it this way, on any tunable car, you pay something like $1000 for a ecu reflash that truly optimizes your performance let's say maybe like +70hp, on the Benz you'll spend twice as much for more parts to make the same amount of power. Just go look at all the cla's with tunable ecu's, their making the same if not more HP/tq as ours with just a tune while we need 2-3 parts.

The car is more spirited to drive sure, but (and maybe it's cuz I'm a dad now) but the cost is no where near the cost justification. I could do more with the same amount of money on say a STi or even a new Ford Fiesta. Of course then people will ask why I even did it in the first place and the answer is I'm a tuner no matter what, working on and building cars is just part of me.

I bought this car for the looks. I love the way it looks and knew this going into the purchase over a W205.

That said, I totally get what you're saying in HP per dollar. My GTI gained 120 HP/130 TQ at just under 2000$ in parts. That's an incredible deal.

But with this car it's different, this to me is still the best looking chassis/body on the road for me, so I am content.

Have you dyno'd your car to see your gains? Interested in seeing the percentage. 2-3k in mods doesn't seem ridiculous if it's yields results.

I did dyno the car a long time ago when (search for a thread started by me) but I don't consider it accurate. Not because of the dyno but because it seemed like the operator didn't know what he was doing. I'm considering investing in a gtech pro but it's low on my priority list.

Hard to judge by your dyno sheet considering it's a different car (C250 is 201 fly). But for what you described, it does look like you got some more power out of the car that would be substantial enough to warrant the money. I mean it is only a 1.8T with a locked ECU, to get anything out of it at all is awesome.
