Head lights?

Can I just replace the bulbs? Do I need to do something more to get brilliant blue light?

You can turn it into a Ricer by just replacing the 4300K halogen bulbs with 10,000K or 12,000K bulbs.

Come on now, HID's are not Ricers lol(although blue is a little bit drastic for me)... I went with all white on mine to go with my new fog light aka DRL set up. just make sure you buy the right ones and spend a little more $$$ in getting a good set.

Intrdrgn, what brand and were from? Did you install yourself? Is it just the bulb I change or a whole new set up?

Mine are Opt7 AC CanBus HID's. comes with 2 HID bulbs, 2 ballast with wiring kit. you would have to drill a hole on your headlight cover for the wires to go through other than that the install was fairly easy. its a lot better than the stock one I had H7 bulb oem setup. there are a couple of YouTube vid's on how to set up.

The OP's question is about changing the "bulb", which can be done quite easily. I agree that HID's are not Ricer, I stand behind my statement that Bright Blue color temperature spectrum are!

I had HID's installed in the stock halogen headlight and recently replaced them with DEPO headlights (at 5000K color temp).

is that a better approach than just buying the ebay depo headlights?

DEPO runs around $450 for a set, plus removing the entire front of the car (took me around 3 hours). Retrofit HID set is around $100 (H7 light) and just the dust cap access cover needs to be drilled out.

The DEPO is much better in lighting up the road without blinding oncoming cars.

NOTE to the O.P. - 10,000K Blue lights don't light up the road as much as the stock halogen!

Gentlemen, you have been helpful. Thank you. I actually just want to match the daytime running leds. I purchased my 2013 c250, from dealer, and the headlights are basic in looks and brightness. Just want to changeout bulbs. But, I do like the HID conversion.

I see more BMW's with blue lights then Japanese imports. I assume by ricer you mean Honda, Acura ect.

To be honest, there are quite a few ruined Mercedes C Classes up here with matte vinyl wrapped this and that, ****ty sounding exhausts, stupid coloured lights ect ect

Poor cars.
