W204 interior Door stuck open
Was looking for some help. My 2008 W204 interior, driver side door handle is stuck in the open position. I cannot close the door. Prior to this, the door would not unlock with the keyfob (all other doors unlocked with fob). I was hoping i could get some help as to what is causing the issue and how to go about repairing it, besides taking it in to the shop. Anyone else have a similar problem and was able to fix? Out Of Control!!
Sounds like a lock actuator is faulty and regardless of my WAG someone will have to remove the door panel to do the diagnostics and confirm the issue---that's time-free to you assuming you have the time, tools and experience to remove and install the door panel correctly.

Rear near side door problem
The actuator on the rear near side door has failed. I have successfully wired in a generic actuator onto the outside of the aluminium shroud following the instructions on this forum. I am struggling with connecting the rod from the new generic actuator to the cable from the door pin to old failed actuator. The cable has a blue plastic sleeve. Inside that there is a metal spiral surrounding a plastic core. I’ve made several attempts to connect the new actuator rod with the connecting block which came with the new actuator but cannot get the door pin to work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
