Home made fog light lens film.

I hope no one came here expecting my advice on how to do this. I am here to request that myself. Can anyone think of a household or homedepot alternative to buying the custom cutout Lamin X fog light covers? I'm looking for clear/transparent materials to cut out and stick on, not yellow. I have a chip in one and think it's why my bulb is quick to burn out! Thanks guys.

Go to AutoZone and see if they sell 3M precut film. Word of warning, especially if your lens is cracked, the halogen bulb will burn the film.

I use VVivid headlight air tint film on mine but that is for extra protection against rock chips, not a direct fix for a broken lens.

Call around to vinyl graphic supply shops, they should be able to sell you a small sheet for cheap. Take off the 3 screws on the fog light and remove the cover. Clean your fog lights, stick on the 3m/laminx and cut around the foglight lens with an exacto knife. Screw the cover back on.

How much are you trying to spend? I have materials that I could send/sell you to do what you're looking to do for your lights. No reason to buy incorrect materials from home depot and end up having to redo it again later on anyways.

Let me know.
