2013-2014 C300 Oil and Air Filters Nightmare
I did my first oil change last weekend and ****ed everything up. I thought I searched correctly but I ended up with filters for Pre-facelift C300 or 2012 C300 (still confused).
The oil filter and air filter did not match. I ended up using my ML350 oil filter (purflux L394) for now since they looked the same. smh
So... I need your guys input because apparently I suck at forum searching. I need the part number for both, air and oil filter for 2013 C300 sport. Also, I noticed another filter INSIDE the intake manifold cover after removing the old air filter. Do I need that replaced as well?
Edit: Saving the below for future reference. Super convenient that I can use both items for my 2013 C300 and 2015 ML350.
Oil filter: Part No. 276-180-00-09 (Purflux brand $42 for 4 pcs on ebay)
Air filter: Part No. 276-094-00-04 (Mann Filter brand $42.83 each on ebay)

Check out https://www.fcpeuro.com/ should have correct parts for you.
Where did you get your parts from?

There are no filters in the intake manifold...you would not need to go to that extent to change air filters.
I have a feeling you're probably talking about the filter after the air filters, in the air cleaner box. Those do not need to be replaced...unless damaged or dirty because your normal filters failed.

You can find the correct part number for your particular model year (and production build) by looking at the illustrated diagrams provided by the MB dealership sites that have an online parts division. There are several of these entities online, but here is the one I use:
http://www.genuinemercedesparts.com
Just enter your VIN or vehicle model specs, and it will pull up the correct part numbers. Be sure that the part number applies to your vehicle based upon the options (4Matic vs. Non-4Matic, Sport vs. Non-Sport, etc.)
You don't need to order from this vendor, but it will provide you the correct part number. You can then go searching the internet for the best deal on this MB part number. It will yiled both OE, OEM, and AM options to chose from. Personally, I stick with OE/OEM. AM always has worse fitment and longevity. Always buy electrical parts OE though.
Lastly, you should always supply the vendor with your VIN, as most vendors will run a quick check to verify the part fits your car. Both parties would of course, prefer to prevent any unnecessary returns.
