So I've started looking into 2013 C300's to replace my 2 door BMW. I had done a lot of research a few years back into MB but I ended up with a BMW (sorry guys) so I'm wondering if there have been any major issues with the engine over the years or anything to look out for or ask while searching.


Also, I remember reading the engine in the C300 is a detuned C350, can they still be tuned to get the maximum potential out of them? I recall Kleeman making a tune for them.


Any other tips on what to avoid would be great (ex.: is the navigation on MB any good? I know it sucks on older model BMW's)

Yes you can tune them
that is for 2012+ c300's
Typing in google will get you all the engine results "ex. 2010 c300 hp"

4Matics can have transfer case issue, although 2014+ rather unlikely
2008/9 can have EIS issue
anything else is usually small

if you want navigation then GET IT because theres no way to retrofit anything decent.

If you live in a place where it doesn't snow get rwd.

Thanks for the information. There's so much information out there I was just curious if any of the issues I've read about are reoccurring things or random things here and there.


I'm looking into 2013 models and I live in snowy Canada, so i'll probably be getting an awd version.
