W204 Power Increase From W203?

Does anyone know how/what MB did in order to increase the hp on the w203 c350 from 268hp to the w204 c350 with 302hp?

The m272 was never force inducted by Mercedes

2019 G70 6MT & 2022 Ford Maverick XL

Different engine.

2006-2011 C350: M272 3.5L port-injection, 90 degree V6 dating back to early 2000s.

2012-2014 C350: M276 3.5L direct-injection, 60 degree V6 (no balance shaft needed) developed alongside Pentastar V6 when Mercedes owned Chrysler.
