A little history about me: I am a long time Audi fan ( still am ). iv owned a 4 Audis and had a 2003 G35 coupe as a daily.
My first Audi: 2009 S5

and my 2003 g35 daily................
which brings me here today. My dad does not have a car so he occasionally uses the g35 coupe. he totaled it a few weeks ago ( lucky everyone was ok and not severely injured ). so I was shopping for a new daily/ car for my dad to use , and I decided to get for him/us a Mercedes
specs: 2013 c300 4Matic sport w/ 51k miles. CPO'ed
planned mods:
HID conversion to rid the horrible **** yellow halogens
clear side markets w/ LED bulb

I do have one question though: is there a way to control the center console lights? we noticed that nothing lights up inside ( even when its dark ). the buttons on the console lights up when activating AC, hazards, ETC. but the orange backlight does not ( window switches, navi buttons, etc ). is there a way to control that or adjust the brightness? we already tried the knob behind the stalk and it only adjusts the tach/dash. does it have to be pitch black before it lights up?

thanks! I have not started researching anything lighting yet for this car. aside from the H7 bulb for the low beams, what other bulb type do I need to fully convert the entire front end? or more like would you be able to tell me how many bulbs are on the front and what they are, and what bulb type I need ( and a link to your product for them of course) thanks!
Did you double check that the illuminated entry feature is on? (Button at top) sometimes when its off lights that you dont expect are off too.
And theres lots of mods to go around :P quad tips, big fin diffusers, carbon fiber lips galore!
actually.....I have not! are you talking about the light that's on top where the reading/map/dome lights are? if so I haven't played with that yet, and will later! thanks!
haha yea for sure. right now im keeping the modding on a low, but as you can see from my history, I have a bit of a habit when it comes to modding. im pretty sure eventually this is going to have an exhaust, quads, and some CF bits
Yea its a button near the dome lights at the top. Mine was clicked on when I got my car, and I thought to myself, "even a rental car has illuminated entry (sometimes lol) how can this not?!?!" Then i clicked the button and bam problem solved. May or may not be the solutions but its good to check regardless!

really appreciate it. I do remember when the tech that was showing us the features hit the dome light on top- never knew it would effect the lighting as a whole. even the tech was confused why it was not lighting up after. hope this solves it. will give it a try
Finally had the time to swap put the halogens lowbeams for 5000k xenons. Gotta admit it was a big pain to get then bulbs back in, but the results r so rewarding. ( btw save the " omgggggg u put xenons in a reflector housing shame on u!!!!, dont wanna hear it and dont care ).
Car looks so much better and output is much much muchhhh better than halogens. Next step is to swap the high beams for a diamond white halogen bulb
Btw does anyone know if theres a specific front plate frame to be used with the curved plate bracket? None of my plastic framaes sit flush completely with it as it needs to be bent
