Is the 2012 C250 trouble prone?

My CPO warranty on a 2012 C250 ends 4/15/2017. I've owned the car for 16 months. Replaced the thermostat and now the fuel pump. (Apparently the fuel level sensor - which is the problem - requires the entire fuel pump assembly to be switched out). I've has other issues, but they required software updates.
Consumer Reports listed the 2012 C250 as one of their worst used cars.
I read about problems with the cam chain on the M271 engine (not sure if those are issues on the M271 EVO?)
I loved my 1999 C280 and had zero major problems for 8 years. But, is it time to sell the 2012 C250 to avoid costly repairs?

Prior to CPO C250 coupe purchase, the C/R mag that I saw showed the ALL SOLID RED DOTS!

I don't recall which issue - but it must have been prior to 8/31/2014 - my purchase date.

No problems at all - but have only logged 9,000 in 30 months.

Based on my research, the 2012 C-250 is no better or worse than any other European import. I just purchased a 2013 and so far so good. The issues you mentioned are the ones that show up often. Most problems are minor, but parts are made from unobainium, so they are pricey, increasing the worry factor. The big issue is transmission failure, don't even want to think about that. If it's causing you to loose sleep, buy an aftrmarket warranty. My $.02.

Consumer Reports listed themselves as one of the worst place to research things, especially when it comes to vehicles.

That's funny. So, CR is not my goto for car reviews (with their decidedly Asian bias) but when they list one in the Worst of Used Cars category, I take notice.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I'm actually looking for reasons to keep the car. I was won over to MB in 2005 when I purchased a used 1999 C280 Sport. Absolutely loved that car. The C250 is far sportier with more power and torque. Of course if I had the money, I'd own a C63 Black or settle for a C43. Cheers.
