C350 Spark Plug Question

I replaced spark plugs in September of 2015 with some Bosch Platinum Spark Plugs. Recently my MPG has dropped a bit maybe 5-6 MPG. This was probably less than 20K miles or so. My question is, could my issue be related to the Spark Plugs? Are Bosch Platinum high enough quality?

I'm no expert, so basic mechanic stuff here..
It's possible, but not likely. Modern ignition systems are generally trouble free for extended periods of time. MB recommends frequent fuel filter changes (ever 10k miles, iirc), which can affect economy if left undone. Has there been a loss of performance?

My main issue that has been bothering me is the fuel MPG has fallen decently. It used to be around 21 or 22 in the city I believe and about 24-26 plus on the highway. I attached a few milage logs for the past couple years.

Fuel filter changes every 10k?

That's what my maintenance manual has in it.

CaseB, you're either misreading something or you're looking at a typo.

For my 2008 C-Class, the Maintenance manual recommends a fuel filter replacement every 143,000 miles or 15 years (whichever comes first).

The 2012 C-Class (which covers the C250) states the following:
Replacing the fuel filter
Replace the fuel filter every 150,000 miles or 15 years. In diesel vehicles replace every 20,000 miles or 2 years and in G-Class vehicles every 60,000 miles or 6 years.

Thank you! Reading more closely, it says to inspect (?) it along with a laundry list of other stuff. Live and learn.

I have not replaced the fuel filter. It is a 2009 with about 119K miles.

I inquired about this a while ago for the heck of it and fuel filters for a 2008 and up c-class are insanely priced.

$600 Canadian for just the filter no labour and with a deal they could do about $450 CAD which is still nuts.

I replace the fuel filter when I buy a new to me used car but this time I'll wait till it needs one. The rear seat needs to be removed to do it which seems easy enough.

I can't imagine having to pay a dealership to do this.

Has your MPG improved? If so what was the likely cause?

When I changed the Spark Plugs I think it did help a bit. I do not remember exactly.
