2009 C350 COMAND Bluetooth issues

2009 C350 COMAND Bluetooth issues
Hi there, I have a wonderful Merc C350 2009 with the stock factory COMAND A/V system installed. I've been having issues with this system not correctly connecting to my phone for hands-free phone operation, if I am wearing a smartwatch that is also paired to the phone. My guess is that the Bluetooth installed as standard here isn't BT LE or BT 4, etc. due to age.

Does anyone know if Merc offer an upgraded COMAND system that will work for my car (so that it retains the buttons on steering wheel, etc.) yet supports later BT technologies?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
