5000k Halogen vs. 6000k Xenon
Hello everyone,
Currently I have Phillips Diamond Vision H7 5000k Halogen bulbs installed in my 2013 C300 Sport as my high and low beams. However, the light output isn't great during nighttime driving after it rains or during the rain. I'm wondering if 6000k Xenon lights would give me better light output? I could also get 42300k Xenon lights, but I dislike the slight yellow tint given off. This is why I run 5000k halogen bulbs even though the light production is very weak.
Simplified Question: I'm wondering if a 6000k Xenon lights would give me better light output than 5000k Halogen bulbs?

It will give you better light output than your Halogen.
However, If I were you, I would go with 5000K Xenon lights as for bulbs.
5000K will give you better visibility in rain and it won't be that yellowish.
I have used 6000K and 8000K in my previous vehicles, but learned either stock or 5000K will provide better visibility for your safety.

will let you know. i actually have 5000k HID ( but it looks 6000k) and i just ordered 5000k halogens for my high beams so it should give you a good comparison
HID will 100% give you a better output vs halogen. the reach is incomparable

5000-5500K is optimal output with pure white in color. The Diamond visions aren't true aren't true 5000K temp rating as halogen bulbs just can't achieve that high temp. They cheat with colored film on the bulb to get the 5000K temp color, but in doing so, reduced output lumens. You'll be much better off going with an HID conversion kit.
