2010 Mercedes-Benz C300 Sport 4matic
New to MB, Please Help

I just purchased a 2010 Mercedes-Benz C300 Sport 4matic and I am not sure if this is the right place to post this question.

I would like to know what MP3 players are compatible with the sound system. I have a nifty little cable in the glove box, but I don't know what MP3 player to purchase to use with it. I love my car and will love it even more if I can connect a player with all my favorite music to it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Robert

2008 C350 Sport 4Matic Swap
Hi robert, it should work with any mp3 device fitted with auxiliary output. I use it with my phone, but my ipod/ipad also work on it, anything that you can put earphones too will work, you're car speakers are like the earphones.

Dear Itwargssf, Thank you for your reply. My car only has a cable from the wall of the glove box and it has, what I think, is an Apple adapter on it. I've looked for some place to plug in AUX and I can't find anything. My radio has an AUX and MP3 setting on it, but no where to plug in AUX. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. But I think the only plug is the one that looks like an Apple plug. But I don't know if it is an Apple plug or if so, what Apple player will work with it. Thank you again, Robert

you have to open the side panel (open passenger door) the aux will be there and you can wire through.

Adi-Benz, Thank you for your assistance. I found the AUX plug in, but I'm confused as to why they didn't put in the glove box. I'm not sure how I'll plug in to it, but at least now I know where it is. Thank you again, Robert

Mercedes C220 AMG Style
Its an "hidden option". Just drill a hole on the side of the glovebox and stick there the auxiliary port. It will fit, plug and stay there. And is already activated on system so no more as to be done.

psaldanha, Thank you for your reply. I will do just that. I still don't get why MB didn't do it in the first place, but I'm sure we'll never know.
