I thought W204's had a timing chain and the service interval was a gazillion or so years?

These engines have a timing chain rather than a belt. You'll need to replace the timing chain guides before you ever have to replace the actual timing chain, and even then that's a pretty high mileage thing. Not sure there's an actual service interval, just an as needed thing
