Prefacelift Low Beam and Fog HID Options
So my passenger side low beam and drivers side fog went out. As I just replaced driver side low, i figure maybe I could take advantage of the situation.
So what are my options to upgrade? I see morimotos for the lows but theyre ~$150? Looking for a (relatively) inexpensive upgrade that is pluh in and play.
I know aznoptics mentioned some of his HIDS long ago (searched a bit) idk if he sells them tho.
Suggestions?

Order the Morimotos through AZN Optics! I've had mine in my lows for a year, and they're great. I've had HIDs in my fogs for over 5 years, too, but they finally went out. Going back to halogens and painting the fogs yellow for a different look.

Thanks, I see them. Because of downtime I'm just gonna replace with oem. The foglight is an H7 bulb I believe, what is the low beam?

If you're interested I have a set of HYLUXTEK canbus ballasts and Morimoto H7 bulbs in 5500k that I want to sell. I bought everything from The Retrofit Source and I had them on my car for about two weeks. I decided to remove them because I missed the cornering function, which still works with HIDs it's just that HID bulbs take some time to warm up. They worked perfectly and produced no error messages.

I'd be willing to sell it for $100 shipped.

Thanks for the heads up, but I need to go OEM for now, kind of changed the direction of this thread but it was a different situation when I posted.

What about philips crystal vision for both? I heard light output is less but what about the more expensive (still cheap) versions?

Any bulbs that have a tint on them to shift the color output will come with a tradeoff against light output. So, for example, the Philips Crystal Vision output is about 1100 lumens whereas the regular, uncoated Philips Vision output is about 1800 lumens.

Those are not going to fit inside the housing without cutting the cap. You'd need to get one of those LED sets that's have the braided steel straps rather than rigid heatsinks.
But either way LED bulbs like that perform very poorly in projectors. They're better suited for reflector housings.
