Engine shutters when coming to a stop
My 2009 C 300 sport matic engine shutters only when applying brakes coming to a stop and then goes away in seconds. I have been reading different remedies using higher grades of fuel and checking air and fuel filters. Filters all have been replaced recently and will test out different gas source as in Shell. Not too optimistic that this will resolve my problem. Any further thoughts?

So I replaced the air filters on my 2009 C300 and had this problem for a month. Stutters and eventually got a check engine light. I found out when I replaced the air filters I didn't push the engine cover all the way in properly. My engine was missing the metal clip on the very top that clips the engine cover that houses the air filters onto the air sensor port. I redid everything and made sure it was properly set in and after a few on/off cycles the engine light disappeared.
