Engine shutters when coming to a stop
My 2009 C 300 sport matic engine shutters only when applying brakes coming to a stop and then goes away in seconds. I have been reading different remedies using higher grades of fuel and checking air and fuel filters. Filters all have been replaced recently and will test out different gas source as in Shell. Not too optimistic that this will resolve my problem. Any further thoughts?

Hi,
Do you think it is related to the brakes or engine, you could have warped brake disc.
if you suspect engine I would have it scanned for fault codes first.

No issues with brakes, changes in rpm's, or eco mode. I filled the tank with high octane Shell 93 gas and will be driving extensively over the next few days. Hoping the cause is simply the octane rating used in the past.
