new problem,
$2180 for a light from Mercedes so i called and made a claim
BUT
should I go to Mercedes to fix it? (even though its a Hyundai dealership here in london)
or go to Fix it auto a recommend body shop?
the problem is it won't be a new light it will either be used OEM (which I'm fine with) or some **** they find OR i can pay extra to get the OEM if they can't find one.
if i go to "mercedes" ill need to wait 2-3 days for an adjuster to come and look, then get the quote approved or I go to fit it auto and its instantly approved and the work will be done in less then a day)
WHAT A ****ING PAIN

Did you speak to glass claims or general auto claims?
Glass claims told me the same thing about oem vs aftermarket. Long story short, when I went to general auto claims that discussion never happened.
I'm doing a windshield repair right now. I'm going to the dealer and getting OEM glass put in by the dealer.
Glass claims told me a bunch of bullshi* and pulled that same frigging stunt on me last week.
Let us know. I do know what you're talking about the adjuster. When I do general auto claims that has more than my windshield involved, an adjuster has to make his way out.

I know the deal would be ideal but in London its a none corporate store MB dealership Brian Finch who owns a ton of dealerships in london does the repair work at Hyundai. I don't like the dealership in london they didn't even know how to do a proper service on my car. I had to go to MB corporate to get it resolved.
if i was in the GTA it would be an easy choice who i'd go to. I guess ill just sleep on it and go get a quote from both shops tomorrow.

Side note in my area it was on the news that people are hitting turkeys and hitting windshields. Coincidentaly today I was < 3 feet from one, and it started to cross the road after me. The guy coming the other way almost hit it, but he slowed down as it flew up (I watched from rearview mirror). Imagine a whole turkey!!!

Who the h*ll is working on your car , the fact they didn't even check to see if the light was working is beyond incompetent. As someone who works on cars for people I would be insanely embarrassed..... I have pride in my work...

I couldn't believe it either they said it worked when they tested it. They detailed the car nicely and polished both head lights so they match and look brand new. They also took off a bunch of scratches ( the previous owner must of done) so the car looks like it just came off the lot.
I blame the insurance company they try to save everywhere. At least I have life time warranty on the light and module hahaha if condensation or anything crazy happens I can go back.

Did you ever get your transmission sorted out?

Ya I don't care how long it takes as long as it's fixed they seem really nice and all the extra detail work make up for it. I'll let you guys know the exact total once I get the bill.

Does not look like any duck I have seen in my favorite Chinese barbecue restaurant. Those still have their heads.
