Help! Instrument cluster is off
Hi,
My brother in law had the brilliant idea of adding an led light strip in the boot to supplement the existing light. He did that by splicing into the wires connected to the boot light(without disconnecting the battery). He isolated the wires and the new addition worked as intended. Everything works on the car from the interior lights to command, wipers, etc., except for the instrument cluster - the backlight is off and all the instruments are off(regardless of whether the engine is running or not, or running lights).
Do you guys have any advice in this situation? I hope it's a blown fuse but I don't know where to start the checks. Or is there a reset procedure?
