Can a start/stop button be placed where the key fits instead of using the key on a C Class 220CDI 2014 year

It is not possible unless your car is equipped with keyless go. I would love to be able to do it on my C250. We are both stuck to use our keys.

Thanks Jeff
I have seen that many threads on different sites saying people have done this without problem where they have a rectangle on the door where the key fits, they reckon they have put the button in instead of the key and everything works, need to go and find a button and trying it

A car
Wait.

Sure you can put a button there, but the functionality of leaving the keys in your pocket and starting/stopping the car won't work....or am I wrong and got shafted from the dealer once again when buying this car?

Penguin you did not get shafted. I tried to tell the OP that it will not work but he wants to try anyway.

did the opposite... removed the button, tossed it in center console, so she could jam the key in the slot like a normal car, go figure.
